Just in time for HANNOVER MESSE 2025, Oberhausen-based LEANTECHNIK AG is launching a new series of its high-precision rack and pinion gearboxes. The size 5.2 gearboxes are designed to offer engineers a high degree of flexibility and help them reduce development costs. Visitors to the exhibition stand will also be able to experience the many advantages of the innovative lifting and positioning systems from LEANTECHNIK.

New size fills a gap

The lifgo and lean SL rack and pinion drives in size 5.2 can be used in a load range from 0 to 1,030 kilograms and thus close the gap between the existing sizes 5.1 (up to approx. 400 kilograms) and 5.3 (up to approx. 1,600 kilograms). The introduction of the new size means that the optimum gear unit design is now available for every lifting force range. In the future, this will give design engineers even more freedom in the design of their machines or systems. In addition, the 5.2 gearboxes can also be used to reduce the manufacturing costs for lifting and positioning systems in the load range from zero to 1000 kilograms, since the rack and pinion gearboxes are precisely tailored to these applications. In addition to size 5.2, all other lifgo and lean SL rack and pinion drives will be on display in Hannover, including the extremely precise lifgo hp with a positioning accuracy of up to two micrometers.

Lifting and positioning systems of all types

Ready-to-install complete systems are another highlight at the LEANTECHNIK stand at HANNOVER MESSE 2025. Under the LEANTECHNIK SYSTEMS brand, the automation specialists manufacture a wide range of customized lifting and positioning systems. For example, complex sorting systems, transfer systems and portal systems are developed under the LEANTECHNIK GANTRY name. LEANTECHNIK P&P systems are an alternative to robots – for example in the pharmaceutical industry. LEANTECHNIK LIFT systems are used as lifting tables or lifting columns in many applications in manufacturing and logistics. According to their developers, LEANTECHNIK SHUTTLE systems transport materials or components quickly and reliably, LEANTECHNIK POSITIONING systems place them exactly at their destination.

Optionally as a partially or functionally complete design

All LEANTECHNIK SYSTEMS systems are available as partially completed or ready-to-use versions. The lifting and positioning systems are precisely matched to the requirements of the respective application and are suitable for a wide range of industries: They are used in the food industry as well as in car manufacturing or in medical technology applications.

Secure support for the axes

LEANTECHNIK also offers the ASS locking device as a suitable solution for securing systems during repairs or inspections. The ASS prevents unintentional lowering or crashing of the gravity-loaded axes. In combination with a lifgo or lean SL gearbox, the ASS can also be used as a positioning unit for a fixed value. To secure system components during operation, LEANTECHNIK also offers the stepless SHB holding brake. It was designed for use with lifgo® rack and pinion drives and can also be used as a safety brake based on the fail-safe principle. LEANTECHNIK supplies the holding brake in a 6-bar and a 20-bar version, and in three sizes.
