New hydrogen-based long-haul truck with CRYOGAS propulsion system
Clean Logistics SE, together with partners, is starting the development and testing of trucks with "CRYOGAS" hydrogen tanks and refueling systems for long-haul fuel cell trucks.

Clean Logistics is responsible for the integration of the refueling systems as well as for the development of the hydrogen and fuel cell technology. CRYOGAS is an extremely cold compressed gas produced from liquid or gaseous hydrogen. CRYOGAS tanks have a higher storage density than conventional tanks and corresponding range advantages.
The CRYOGAS onboard storage system and an energy-efficient rapid refueling system for cryogenic compressed hydrogen gas are expected to enable a range of 1,000 km for hydrogen trucks and a refueling time of 10 minutes. By 2025, a first CRYOGAS hydrogen tank is to be tested in two truck models with different bodies and drive systems. The technological integration and construction of a prototype will take place at Clean Logistics' production facilities in Winsen (Luhe). Refueling will take place at an initial test filling station using a newly developed CRYOGAS refueling system.
In addition to Clean Logistics, the CryoTruck consortium includes the commercial vehicle manufacturer MAN Truck & Bus, the hydrogen startup Cryomotive, the Technical University of Munich, and the technology company IABG.
