On the occasion of HANNOVER MESSE 2022, Voith Turbo will celebrate the premiere of the compact variable-speed pump drives DrivAx IQ4 and DrivAx RQ4, thus further expanding the already broad performance spectrum of the DrivAx family. Other highlights at the Swabian drive specialist's booth include the self-sufficient servo drives DrivAx CLDP, whose ten-year success story is being continued with new sizes, as well as the DrivAx CLCP, developed for robot applications, whose functionality visitors can experience live at the booth.

However, the stars of the show are clearly the new DrivAx IQ4 drives, consisting of a servo motor and a directly attached internal gear pump, which unite to control volume flow and pressure. According to Voith, the maximum volume flow of the system is 125 liters per minute, and the maximum permitted pressure is 270 bar. The outstanding feature of the variable-speed pump drives is the combination of energy efficiency, high power density and robustness. Unlike conventional valve-controlled hydraulic systems, the DrivAx IQ4 provides power on demand. Thanks to this power-on-demand principle, the system operates energy-efficiently at reduced speeds in the partial load range as well as outside the machine cycle. The compact design as well as the interface architecture also allow easy integration into the machine and control system.
