The current generation of industrial robots truly are multipurpose: spot and arc welding, assembly, palleting, packaging, machine linking, loading and unloading, press linking, painting, deburring, milling, polishing, cleaning, wafer handling and cleanroom tasks are only the most common jobs that are performed by robot systems today. Kawasaki Robotics, a pioneer in this sector, is not resting on its laurels, but presenting its newly designed R series as well as a specialized cleanroom robot at HANNOVER MESSE 2014.
The new series was developed to gradually replace the F series robots. The forerunner in the new range is the RS20N, with a reach of 1,725 millimeters, 20 kilogram payload and repeatability of ± 0.05 millimeters. More than ever, the R series has a slim and functional design, with built-in cables that enable automation in the tightest spaces with minimal interfering contours. Abandoning the Windows operating system ensures shorter start-up times, and above all greater stability and improved virus protection. The specifications of the upcoming new MC/MS robot class including the MSR05N cleanroom robot will only be released when HANNOVER MESSE opens.
