The company Parare from Frickenhausen in Baden-Württemberg specializes in 3D printing of metals and plastics. At the HANNOVER MESSE, it will be unveiling its latest development: a housing for electric engines created in collaboration with the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT) , in which the cooling channel is integrated into the housing. It runs in a spiral around the inside of the housing wall through the component and ensures that the heat created during operation is safely dissipated to the outside.

This design becomes more important the more powerful the engine is and the more heat that is generated as a result. The motor housing can have a significantly more compact design in this way and occupies less space in the vehicle. This also means a weight reduction of around 30 to 40%. A further advantage is that the invention of Parare GmbH turns two components into one: the motor housing and cooling system are combined, which simplifies production.
