In Germany, SMEs in particular remain hesitant when it comes to implementing a comprehensive digitalization strategy and transitioning their own operations to Industry 4.0. The VDMA Software and Digitalization Association wants to counter this with a podcast geared to industry in which VDMA members present their experiences. The podcast is available for download on Podige e and Spotify .

The series will look at specific digitalization-related issues and technologies and explain, for example, the financial benefits of implementing these in a mid-sized industrial company. In the first episode, which is on artificial intelligence, Peter Seeberg from Softing Industrial Automation GmbH explains the possible uses of the technology and the relevant know-how and infrastructure required. Further episodes are already being planned.
