When they launched jet fusion technology a few years ago, the printing specialists at HP opened up new possibilities for manufacturing three-dimensional components. Outperforming the prototype manufacturing widely used to date in terms of quality, functionality and dimensional stability, their ideal mechanical properties and high printing speeds actually make these components suitable for series production. HP has improved this technology to such an extent in the HP Jet Fusion 3D 4200 Printing Solution on show at HANNOVER MESSE 2019 that the company is even talking in terms of reinventing 3D printing, and a 3D total solution for prototype manufacturing and small series.

The combination of HP Jet Fusion 3D 4200 Printer and 3D Processing Station with Fast Cooling is intended to deliver real competitive advantages for users, as this solution is also suitable for scalable small series - made possible, among other things, by the downstream cooling function. Above all, however, the ability to print as much as ten times faster - at up to 30 million drops per second and per inch of working area - is set to boost productivity to the maximum level currently feasible in 3D printing, turning HP Jet Fusion technology into a genuine alternative to conventional manufacturing (based on FDM and SLS methods).
