Robotics-X opens an R&D center in Slovenia
The new research and development center will develop Industry 4.0 solutions. The Munich company is also planning to collaborate more closely with the Japanese robot manufacturer Yaskawa.

In the new “Area X-1” in the Slovenian capital of Ljubljana, the focus is on intelligent robots and highly developed automation solutions for industry. At the same time as it opened its new R&D center, Robotics-X GmbH announced that it had signed a contract with Yaskawa Europe . Robotics-X will develop standard and customized solutions for the Japanese company’s customers in future.
Yaskawa, one of the leading manufacturers of industrial robots in the world, has built a factory in Kočevje in Slovenia, at which the first Motoman robots made entirely in Europe will come off the production line at the end of 2018. In addition, the company is building other production sites in Slovenia to cope with the growing demand for drive technology. The new factories producing frequency converters, servo drives and servo motors are to be set up close to the robot factory.
