Hahn RobShare GmbH is a subsidiary of the Hahn Group from Rheinböllen in Rhineland-Palatinate. The company acquired the US-based cobot pioneer Rethink Robotics last year and now offers its own cobots like the Sawyer model as Robot-as-a-Service (RaaS) units. Other manufacturers, such as MIR, are nevertheless also offering mobile robot models. According to RobShare, rental prices are comparable to the cost of a temporary worker per hour, with billing on a per day or month basis. Pay per Pick is nevertheless also possible, i.e. billing according to usage. RobShare targets companies that want to automate their processes, as well as companies that want to use the cobot as temporary replacements to cover absences due to vacation or illness. The cobot should preferably be used for tasks that allow it to operate for about 80 hours a week.

RobShare advises customers on the selection of the cobot and then assumes operational responsibility. The company also takes care of programming, maintenance, logistics and administration, guaranteeing 24/7 availability. The service also includes installation and commissioning. The customer is only responsible for organizing the cobot’s work and controlling the results.
