Schuler takes over Italian press manufacturer Farina
With the acquisition of the machine manufacturer Farina Presse, the German company Schuler complements its own product portfolio in the areas of forging and single-stroke presses.

Schuler is majority-owned by the Austrian ANDRITZ Group and is the technology and world market leader in forming technology. The company offers presses, automation solutions, tools, process expertise and service for the entire metalworking industry and the automotive lightweight construction sector. Following the acquisition of the toolmaker AWEBA in 2016 and a majority holding in the Chinese press manufacturer Yadon since 2015, the Göppingen-based Group is now expanding its portfolio with forging line manufacturer Farina Presse from northern Italy. According to Schuler CEO, Domenico Iacovelli, by acquiring Farina the company is taking an important step in strengthening its market position in the middle price-performance segment.
Farina has to date mainly supplied automotive industry customers in Italy, Spain and Germany. The company's machines cover a wide range of capacities with press forces of between 750 and 8,000 tons.
