What problem does your product solve?

DCS generate hundreds of alarms with different priorities within a short time. Since the operator cannot cope with such a large number, alarms are often not assessed and acknowledged correctly.

There is a risk that critical moments are overlooked, resulting in avoidable damage or production downtimes. Based on both historic and current data, the tool evaluates the logic and algorithms of the alarm sequences. The operator is thus already informed in advance that a critical situation may occur and require action.

What is the product’s main benefit for the customer?

The customer benefits from increased capacity utilization while at the same time reducing operating costs; empirical values are not yet available because the product is still new, but it has been very well received by the customer.The number of faults could be reduced significantly.

Why would you call your product “intelligent”?

This intelligent product running on MindSphere analyzes the data included in hundreds of alarms and selects those alarms which require a response.

Are there any other important points that you can think of?

The Swedish customer StoraEnso, Skoghall is already using this product.
