LEE Hydraulische Miniaturkomponenten GmbH, based in Sulzbach, Hesse, was founded in 1979 as a subsidiary of the US-based THE LEE COMPANY, the market leader in the manufacture and distribution of high-precision miniature hydraulic components for the aerospace industry. LEE products are also used in the offshore industry, motor sports, the automotive sector and in general industrial and mobile hydraulics. In the run-up to HANNOVER MESSE 2023, the company has now unveiled the Xover solenoid valve, which LEE says is a groundbreaking internal pinch tube solenoid valve designed to ensure fast and efficient switching between samples, reagents, cleaning solutions or calibration agents.
Innovative design equals efficient performance
The Xover solenoid valve is said to feature unsurpassed reliability and an exceptionally low carry-over volume of only 3.7 microlitres, making it ideal for critical applications in flow cytometry, gene sequencing, in vitro diagnostics, urinalysis and haematology instruments. The solenoid valve is equipped with a Y-shaped elastomeric tubing in a three-way configuration, in this way the innovative design combines the flow path of a pinch valve with the versatile, maintenance-free performance of a chemically inert shut-off valve. The Xover is also easy to flush and offers overall fast and efficient fluidic performance at an amazingly affordable price.
Flexible to connect and reliable in use
The Xover solenoid valve can be connected to standard ¼-28 flat-bottom tubing, but the connections can also be configured to suit individual requirements if necessary. The valve features mounting holes for easy integration and an electrical connection with secondary retention for improved system reliability. Each Xover solenoid valve is manufactured from durable materials using the latest manufacturing techniques and is 100 per cent functionally tested before delivery.
