At Yaskawa, the focus is always on the specific technical requirements in the realization of Industry 4.0 scenarios. Practical, modern automation solutions meet four key needs of machine builders and users alike: Consistently simple operation and commissioning, seamless connectivity with the plant environment, enhanced safety functions and maximum efficiency in terms of energy consumption and space requirements.

i³-Mechatronics" solution concept
With the "i³-Mechatronics" solution concept, Yaskawa combines classic mechatronics, information and communication technology, and digital solutions such as artificial intelligence, Big Data and the Internet of Things. It combines smart components with real-time data monitoring and opens the door for sophisticated data analysis and process improvements.

Relevant process and system data is collected in a scalable database in real time and can be visualized in a comprehensible way. At the same time the current status of each machine in real time and correlated with other data sources, e.g. for coordinated sources, for example for coordinated predictive maintenance. The data can also be easily and under the highest security standards to existing ERP, MES, Big Data or AI environments in order to enable well-founded decisions on this basis.

Robotics and Cobot Solutions
Current developments from the Motoman portfolio round off Yaskawa's trade fair presence: Robots "made in Europe" from the robot plant in Kočevje/Slovenia illustrate how current market requirements can be implemented. This is because proximity to European customers ensures particularly short delivery times and a reduced CO2 footprint.

The 30-kg Motoman HC30PL cobot can be experienced in live operation. Its exceptionally high load capacity makes it particularly suitable for fenceless palletizing applications. With the Plug&Play Cobot series HC DTP, Yaskawa makes it easier to set up simple cobot installations. The adapter flange and internal media routing options have been designed to accommodate a variety of common Cobot tools and grippers in the cobot market.

At the same time, Yaskawa has created a market place for accessory products: With the Yaskawa EcoSystem, Yaskawa - together with leading companies in the industry - provides interfaces to various robot accessories and total solutions for robotics. In this way Yaskawa helps both customers new to robotics and robotics experts to find new opportunities for intelligent robot systems. More than 120 compatible and plug-and-play products are available.
