The actual beginnings of Flexitallic date back to the end of the 19th century. In 1912, the German emigrant Henry Bohmer founded the Flexitallic Gasket Company in Camden, New Jersey. Today, the Flexitallic Group, headquartered in Houston, Texas, is the global market leader in static sealing solutions for industry. In addition to an extensive range of both high-quality standard gaskets and specialized, customer-specific sealing solutions, the company also offers application consulting and on-site service. In this way, the Flexitallic Group supports its customers with a variety of options to operate their production facilities or products with longer service lives and to carry out projects or shutdowns more effectively and start them up safely without any problems.

With the products on display at HANNOVER MESSE 2024, Flexitallic is responding to the increasing global demand for more effective and lower CO2 energy conversion technologies, the implementation of which often involves high process temperatures. These require sealing materials that are suitable for high-temperature applications up to 1,000 degrees Celsius and offer safe, long-term reliability and extended maintenance intervals. As a solution to this challenge, Flexitallic has developed Thermiculite, a high-temperature gasket material that combines the sealing properties of graphite with the thermal resistance of mica. Thermiculite has proven to be particularly suitable for use in critical high temperature applications in fertilizer, nitric acid, ethylene, reformer and ammonia production and is available as a gasket sheet as well as spiral wound, comb profile and change gaskets.
