The AMA Innovation Award goes to Endress + Hauser
The industry association AMA has awarded the innovation prize 2018 to a development team from Endress + Hauser. The reason for the award is a new kind of thermometer with automatic calibration function.

After the Hermes Award now the AMA Innovation Award as well: In 2018, it goes to developers from Endress + Hauser who impressed the jury of business and industry representatives with the iTHERM TrustSens thermometer. The self-calibrating thermometer has been specially developed for hygienic and aseptic applications in the food industry and the life sciences, which require a complete consistency (audit assurance) with respect to the FDA, IFS, and GMP rules. The Heartbeat Technology also enables constant device diagnostics and verification without interrupting the process.
The AMA Association for Sensor Technology and Measuring Technology honors innovative developers from the key industries it represents each year with its prestigious prize . 35 international teams had applied for this year’s Innovation Award. The four nominees included another team from Endress + Hauser (for the Proline Promass Q Coriolis flowmeter with multi-frequency technology) and developers from Bosch Sensortec (for the environmental sensor BME680 ), and Sensirion AG (for the siloxane-resistant SGP multi-pixel gas sensor ).
