ESMERA (European SMEs Robotics Applications) was launched in January 2018 to promote the innovation potential of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in the field of robotics. The project helps European companies implement their innovative technology solutions in the energy, manufacturing, construction and agricultural sectors, for which demand and a market as well as eight real and defined problems already exist.
The support for the selected experiments is provided both through funding of up to €200,000 and through mentoring via project partner expertise. Said partners include the University of Patras in Greece, the French Center for Alternative Energy and Nuclear Energy ( CEA ), the foundation IK4 TEKNIKER from Spain, the Technical University of Munich ( TUM ), Blue Ocean Robotics from Denmark, Comau from Italy and R.U. Robots from the UK.
Applicants can register within the first open call until October 31, 2018 at http://opencalls.esmera-project.eu. The test and evaluation phase will last nine months with the next open call scheduled for November 2019.
