What counts is the content - everything else remains digital
What began on a very small scale due to the advantages of plastic became one of the biggest problems of our time through massive use. The startup TareTag from Hanover now shows how we can get a better grip on the packaging madness in a simple way.

The swelling mass of disposable packaging is not only devastating for us humans, our environment and our health. It also wastes precious resources. Something that can hardly be justified today. The most efficient measure of containment is avoidance: packaging that is not needed is not produced, transported and disposed of. This is achieved by refilling containers as often as possible. At HANNOVER MESSE 2023, the young company TareTag will be showing what a contemporary solution to this problem might look like.
The heart of the system is the digital label in the form of a continuous QR code. Producers, bottlers, consumers or deposit pools equip their containers with this - either during the container production process or later in the form of a dishwasher-safe sticker. The goal is to use TareTag to digitalise the flow of goods from the producer to the kitchen at home. Any container can be used for legally compliant packaging for any product in any quantity. But this only outlines the basic features of the system. The founding duo will be happy to explain the resulting possibilities to interested visitors over a drink at Stand B62 in Hall 17 at HANNOVER MESSE.
