With the call for more sustainability, the importance of recycling is also growing increasingly - and with it the demands on the hydraulics used in it are rising. Scrap shears, shredders and balers should no longer just be powerful and reliable, but also quiet and cost-efficient. In order to meet these demands, not only power and robustness are required, but also special precision in the hydraulics. Qualities that, in their own estimation, one company in particular can offer on the market: At HANNOVER MESSE 2022, Bosch Rexroth and its Swedish offshoot Hägglunds Drives will be demonstrating why their hydraulic drives are so popular with recycling professionals.
WEIMA from near Stuttgart, for example, one of the world's leading specialists in recycling wood, plastics and waste, is among the companies that rely on hydraulic direct drive systems from Bosch Rexroth. "Our customers expect machines that they can operate around the clock," explains WEIMA Managing Director Andreas Mack. "Production time means output and, in this industry, sales at the same time. In our machines, however, the process material is destroyed and changed in shape, subjecting the equipment and its components to extreme stresses." For briquetting presses, WEIMA prefers to rely on hydraulic solutions from Bosch Rexroth. For shredders, the decision is always made in favor of Hägglunds hydraulic direct drive systems.
