WIBU-SYSTEMS AG is holding a press conference at HANNOVER MESSE 2017 at 1 p.m. on 24 April to launch the hacker competition and unveil the new Blurry Box encryption technology. The Karlsruhe-based company aims to highlight the reliability of the new Blurry Box encryption technology, as only strong, provably secure encryption is suitable for use in industry and for meeting industrial requirements in view of the increasing integration with Industry 4.0 and the Internet of Things. “Our company delivers protection and licensing solutions that support the development of business models for Industry 4.0 and thus help mechanical engineers and manufacturers of intelligent devices on the road to becoming solution providers,” explains Oliver Winzenried, CEO and co-founder of WIBU-SYSTEMS. These requirements are also met by the new CmStick/CM, which combines software protection and storage in an elegant and sturdy housing and is being premiered by WIBU-SYSTEMS at HANNOVER MESSE 2017. "The hardware is needed as a secure element in various models so that it supports the many different applications,” says Winzenried. “This is something we took into account in developing the new CmStick/CM."

The CmStick/CM, the tiny protection hardware with CodeMeter technology flash memory, is designed to offer protection against reverse engineering to companies that develop standard or embedded software for machines, systems or intelligent devices and to enable them to implement new business models through licensing. To do this, the new CmStick/CM stores licenses and cryptographic keys securely while also offering an 8 GB flash disk. What’s more, it boasts an impressively elegant design that is not only slimline and extremely compact but is also suitable for use in harsh industrial conditions.
