Chicago. After a four-year COVID-induced pause, HANNOVER MESSE USA returns to join IMTS – The International Manufacturing Technology Show from 12 to 17 September 2022 at McCormick Place in Chicago. The event marks the 10-year anniversary of cooperation between Hannover Fairs USA, organizer of HANNOVER MESSE USA, and AMT – The Association For Manufacturing Technology, organizer of IMTS.

“Global politics, climate change and inflation underscore how important topics such as automation and digitalization are,” explained Ed Nichols, president and CEO of Hannover Fairs USA. “Many industrial companies are scrambling to secure energy and materials supply while juggling environmental concerns. Exhibitors at HANNOVER MESSE USA show how to manufacture sustainably while increasing profit margins.”

The 5G Alliance for Connected Industries and Automation (5G ACIA) pavilion features member companies presenting use cases for industrial 5G. Germany and the Apuglia region of Italy present country pavilions.

The Solutions Theater on the show floor features case studies, demonstrations and discussions about the topics advanced connectivity, advanced production methods, data driven intelligence, human-machine integration, and smart workers and managers. The Smart Factory Institute Tennessee runs the program with support from Automation Alley, German American Chamber of Commerce, Control System Integrators Association, and Open Process Automation Forum.

The HANNOVER MESSE USA Conference at McCormick Place’s West Building features global manufacturing experts explaining how modern technologies can transform the workplace and increase competitiveness. Topics include automation, cybersecurity, Industrie 4.0, and supply chain management. The OPC Conference on 13 September focuses on scaling industrial interoperability from sensor to IT and cloud and back.
