Hannover/León. In addition, it hosted more than 70 conferences, workshops and seminars with 100 speakers and attracted more than 10,000 trade visitors. The event ran from 9 to 11 October at the Poliforum León in Guanajuato.

Industrial Transformation MEXICO combined a tradeshow, conference and educational sessions that focused on the adoption of Industrie 4.0 in Latin America. The exhibits revolved around the main topics of automation and robotics, smart manufacturing, industrial IT and software, metalworking, and smart logistics. Visitors came from industry sectors such as aerospace, automotive, electronics, food and beverage, metalworking, packaging, and steel and petro-chemicals processing.

Highlights included the opening ceremony with 1,600 guests; a keynote speech by Siemens CEO Joe Kaeser on occasion of Siemens 125 years in Mexico; the ITMujeres program for women in industry, which featured a talk by Katherine Morris, winner of the 2019 Engelberger Robotics Prize; and the declaration signing of the Mexican-German Business Summit.

The Confederation of Industrial Chambers (CONCAMIN), which represents Mexico’s industrial sectors and economic activities, staged its annual Industrialists Meeting (RAI) parallel to Industrial Transformation MEXICO. The program spotlighted Industrie 4.0 and social inclusion as the keys to economic growth, social equality and equitable development in Mexico.

Hannover Fairs Mexico, Deutsche Messe’s subsidiary in Mexico, organizes Industrial Transformation MEXICO. The next edition runs from 7 to 9 October 2020 in León, Guanajuato.
