Founded in 1976 by the Chiefs of Saskatchewan, the Saskatchewan Indian Institute of Technologies (SIIT) is Canada’s largest Indigenous-governed, credit-granting post-secondary institution.
Rooted in Indigenous communities and values, SIIT serves learners across Canada with programs aligned to community priorities, industry demands, and real-world careers. Based in Saskatchewan—a hub for resources, advanced manufacturing, and skilled trades—SIIT blends cultural knowledge with hands-on, workforce-focused training.
Programs span Health & Community, Business & Technology, and Trades & Industrial sectors, including pathways into technical, safety-critical, and emerging fields such as aerospace and defence. With over 90% Indigenous learners, SIIT delivers education through campuses, training sites, mobile units, and community-based programs, partnering with all 74 First Nations in Saskatchewan to ensure accessible, relevant, and responsive education.
