Description
Whether for product inspection in material handling or for pick-and-place tasks in robotics, Pepperl+Fuchs’ 3-D vision sensors are suitable for a wide variety of applications that require detailed 3-D imaging.
Thanks to stereo vision technology, the 3-D vision sensors enable precise depth measurement. Two cameras arranged in an offset configuration capture the scene from different angles. This creates a complete 3-D image that provides precise information on shape, position, and orientation. Stereo vision technology ensures high measurement accuracy in both static and dynamic applications, even with complex geometries. Structured light ensures reliable measurement results with high repeatability, regardless of the object’s color, surface, or material.
With its high chip resolution, the SmartRunner Explorer 3-D generates highly precise 3-D point cloud images. The output of raw data provides maximum flexibility for custom applications. The SmartRunner Measurer 3-D calculates all relevant measurement values directly within the device—without external image processing or an additional industrial PC. An integrated algorithm processes the image data and delivers precise results for volume, dimensions, rotation, and position.
