The “Assistant of the Future – AI Avatar Demonstrator” developed by the August-Wilhelm Scheer Institute demonstrates how AI agents can take over knowledge-intensive routine tasks and support professionals in their daily work.
The demonstrator automatically detects approaching visitors and switches from presentation mode into an interactive dialogue. Visitors can communicate directly with an AI avatar via natural language, touch, or gestures and explore several practical application scenarios.
The system is based on a multi-agent architecture that orchestrates specialized AI agents. These agents use retrieval-augmented knowledge access (RAG) and interact with external systems through integrated APIs.
Demonstrated scenarios include automated bookings, AI-supported image generation, and the creation of customized reports. Results are visualized in real time and can optionally be delivered digitally.
The demonstrator provides a practical insight into how AI agents can automate routine tasks, accelerate processes, and meaningfully support employees across different industries.
