Carbon Meter is a solution focused on collecting data from automation systems, IIoT, and industrial control systems within industrial plants to automatically calculate greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions, with results presented through dashboards. The objective of the solution is to significantly reduce the large number of hours typically spent on the collection, aggregation, processing, and calculation of emissions indicators (Scope 1, 2, and 3) by leveraging data that already exists within operational technology (OT) systems.
Integrated with Carbon Meter is Carbon Expert, a new solution in the form of a generative AI trained and specialized in GHG. Carbon Expert continuously interprets the data collected and calculated by Carbon Meter and cross-references it with hundreds of external public data sources, such as sector benchmarks, emission factors, energy certifications, and public reports from other companies.
With this combined set of data and insights, the solution delivers benchmarks, simulations, and personalized recommendations to provide continuous support for GHG emissions management and reduction performance, within a controlled and secure environment (data never leaves the company). The goal is not only to look backward for compliance purposes, but to continuously monitor operations in order to turn decarbonization opportunities into measurable ROI.
