CERANOD® hard anodizing by ELB creates highly durable, wear-resistant oxide layers on aluminum components – ideal for fast-moving or heavily stressed parts. Compared to standard anodizing, the process delivers significantly thicker and harder layers with exceptional adhesion to the substrate.
The porous oxide structure allows permanent pigmentation, with surface coloration ranging from light bronze to anthracite, depending on alloy and layer thickness.
Process parameters and electrolytes are individually adjusted in close coordination with the customer. Even challenging aluminium alloys (e.g., 2000 and 7000 series) can be reliably treated thanks to pre-analysis using X-ray fluorescence.
