With the CERANOD® hybrid process, ELB combines various surface properties in a targeted and highly durable way. By merging wear-resistant ULTRACERAMIC® PEO plasma ceramics with high-performance polymers such as PEEK, we create hybrid surfaces tailored to meet complex functional requirements.
Smooth and adhesive, hydrophobic and hydrophilic, biocompatible and bactericidal – combinations that were previously incompatible can now be realized. The hybrid structure delivers unique functional benefits and significantly extends component service life.
The CERANOD® hybrid technology enables advanced applications in aerospace, medical technology, offshore, mechanical engineering and many other high-tech sectors – all with cost-efficient and environmentally friendly production.
