The Hy-Lok FT series micron filters with EPDM offer a reliable solution for filtration in stationary and mobile systems with hydrogen gas. These filters are manufactured from 316/316L stainless steel and have been quality tested in accordance with (EC) No. 79/2009 and (EU) No. 406/2010. This includes tests such as the salt spray test, the durability test, the hydraulic pressure test and a double external leakage test with compressed hydrogen. In addition, the non-metallic materials used were tested for their hydrogen compatibility and resistance to oxygen and ozone ageing.
The FT series filters are equipped with replaceable filter elements that offer a nominal pore size of 1 to 150 microns. To ensure external tightness, an EPDM O-ring is used for the housing seal, while a PTFE packing ensures minimal internal leakage. The filters are available with various end connections, including Hy-Lok compression fittings for different pipe outside diameters as well as male NPT threads.
With a maximum working pressure of up to 350 bar (5,076 psig) and a temperature range of -40 °C to +85 °C, these filters are suitable for a wide range of hydrogen applications. They offer an effective solution for preventing foreign particles in hydrogen in industrial systems, while ensuring leak tightness and safety at all times.
