acontis is an experienced provider of real-time software for various applications such as machine control, medical devices and transportation systems.
LxWin enables the parallel operation of RT-Linux and Windows on one computer: RT-Linux offers deterministic, hard real-time behavior, sophisticated development tools and a broad support of hardware drivers and software. Typical applications are PLC, motion control and numerical control systems with high real-time requirements.
Numerous Linux drivers, e.g. for fieldbus interfaces, GigE camera systems, communication stacks (EtherCAT, Profinet, OPC, OPC UA, TSN...) as well as software solutions such as CNC controllers or software PLCs for RT-Linux are ready for use immediately and without modification when using LxWin. LxWin is the way to consolidate any existing solution that was previously split into two different parts on multiple computers - like consolidating a Windows-based HMI and a Linux-based controller on a single piece of hardware. The LxWin architecture makes it easy to use Eclipse or Microsoft Visual Studio for software development.
