The SANDECH Rain Cap is a protective cap engineered for atmospheric discharge outlets of pressure safety valves (PSVs) handling hazardous fluids (flammable, combustible or toxic). It was developed to prevent drain clogging caused by rainwater, dust, sand and organic/inorganic debris — including icing risks in cryogenic services.
The cap is manufactured using platinum-cured silicone and 3D-printed molds, enabling fast lead times, customization and tool-free installation. It also provides a clear visual indication of valve opening and helps minimize deterioration of piping and equipment.
Compared to imported solutions made of flexible PVC, the SANDECH cap delivers superior performance with a wider operating temperature range (-50°C to 200°C), high elongation and excellent UV resistance enhanced by a specialized additive. Designed and produced locally, it reduces freight lead times, logistics risks and currency exposure, offering a reliable alternative to imported rain caps.
