SecGPro – Security Gateway for Production
The increasing networking of IT and operational technology (OT) in production offers many advantages, such as the use of artificial intelligence and intelligent processes. However, these developments also entail new security risks. At the Hannover Messe, the Fraunhofer IPT is presenting the “Security Gateway for Production (SecGPro)”, a solution for securing communication between IT systems (cloud, PCs) and OT devices (controllers, sensors, production machines). “SecGPro” encrypts data and verifies access to OT systems to ensure that only authorized users and systems are granted access.
With “SecGPro”, manufacturing companies can make their processes more secure and meet regulatory requirements such as the Cyber Resilience Act (CRA) or the NIS2 directive. The Security Gateway offers a scalable solution that can be flexibly integrated into existing production environments and does not require any special security expertise.
