Description
Data is one of the most important resources for many companies for the optimization and further development of products and production processes. Being able to evaluate the potential uses of a company's data treasure in greater depth often requires high time investments, internal expertise or available personnel. A classic use case is, to put data sets – such as quality assurance and machine data – in correlation by means of artificial intelligence methods to be able to predict influences of process parameters and environmental influences on the product result or to optimize processes with respect to quality, throughput or costs. KIT supports industrial companies in data-driven innovations using potential analyses. Within the scope of agile projects, potentials are uncovered on the basis of real data from industrial production and a recommended course of action is given. After defining the project goals, researchers examine the available data sets with regard to the objective using state-of-the-art machine learning tools and infrastructures. In the implementation phase, KIT data experts demonstrate different data strategies as a result of exploratory data analysis as well as precise application possibilities of current machine learning algorithms and methods to exploit the potential for the defined use case. Taking into account the requirements and resources communicated by the industry partner, experts finally evaluate the developed strategies and outline potential measures and risks. The potential analysis offers companies the opportunity to discover previously unknown correlations in existing data sets and achieve an optimization of processes, resources and products.
You can get an overview of this technology at KIT stand. More details can be exchanged individually with the responsible scientific employees of KIT after the industry fair.
