The conductor is made of soft annealed high purity copper having a specific electric conductivity of minimum 58 Sm/2 mm, which fully meets the requirements of HRN and other international standard specifications. In addition to every cable type there is also a table with a specified conductor construction.
Polyvinil chloride polyurethane and other thermoplastic materials are used as insulating and sheathing material because of their high electrical, mechanical and thermal properties, which contribute to a much wider application of this material both for insulations or conductor and cable sheaths. The maximum permissible continuous operating temperature of conductor is 70°C for these cables.
On request, ELKA is also able to supply cables of higher thermal class insulated with special PVC compound subitable for the conductor temperature up to 105°C. Such cables have the symbol T added to the HRN type code, e.g. P/T, P/FT, P/MT, PP/LT, PP/JT etc.
