Rockwell Automation, the world's largest company for industrial automation and digital transformation, is expanding its Advanced Technology Team by opening a new research laboratory in the Czech capital Prague. The Advanced Technology Team is designed not only to help Rockwell deliver new products and services, but also to advance the entire automation industry through solid thought leadership and collaboration with the standards and higher education communities.

The Prague team will address customer needs, validate the future of Rockwell products and explore the possibilities and limitations of new technologies. According to the company, their research results will make a decisive contribution to product and service development and significantly expand Rockwell's intellectual property portfolio.

“Our Advanced Technology team is a key part of the Rockwell innovation system, helping to implement new technical concepts and identify potential industrial applications,” explains Kyle Crum, director at Advanced Technology.

The new lab will expand the research and technology capabilities of Rockwell's existing facility in Prague. The team there will work with local universities to share knowledge, experiences and best practices, and to develop tomorrow's advanced technologies.

“Prague is an attractive location for research. We will now expand the relationships we have already established in the region to include universities working on autonomous intelligent systems,” said Crum. ”We look forward to deepening our relationships in Europe and helping all our customers become more resilient, agile and sustainable.”
