The Fulda-based system and solution provider JUMO presents two remarkable innovations for the JUMO variTRON controller family, which are intended to significantly increase efficiency and flexibility in industrial automation.

On the occasion of the presentation of two innovations for the latest system version of the JUMO variTRON control family, Michael Wiener, Global Product Manager PLCs Strategic at the Hessian system and solution provider JUMO, explains the following: "On the one hand, customers can look forward to a truly unique selling point with the recorder app for the JUMO variTRON control family, as the function of a paperless recorder has been transferred to the PLC. On the other hand, with the new JUMO I/O system for the JUMO variTRON PLC family, users can expect a module family that is 'state of the art'.
According to the supplier, the new I/O modules of the JUMO variTRON PLC family are characterized by a slim design and a high channel density. The modules have been developed in such a way that they offer a maximum number of inputs and outputs in a minimum of space. This enables efficient use of the available space in the control cabinet. They have an optimized response time, which means that they react quickly to inputs and therefore allow precise control of processes.
The recorder app for the JUMO variTRON 500 touch in turn offers an innovative recorder function directly on the device for the first time. This function enables efficient data recording and process visualization directly on site without the need for additional hardware or software.
For the JUMO variTRON 300 and JUMO variTRON 500 DIN rail devices, this functionality is available on the web, which makes flexible and location-independent use possible. "JUMO thus offers customers a USP, as they can save a complete device in the form of a classic paperless recorder," emphasizes Niklas Hack, Global Product Manager Data Recording & Evaluation/Transmitter at JUMO.
According to its developers, the recorder app integrated into the JUMO variTRON family is characterized by its high efficiency in data recording and process visualization. It enables users to record and analyze process-relevant data in real time. This makes JUMO's PLC systems unique on the market.
