FRANKA EMIKA is a Munich-based deep tech company founded in 2016 by Sami and Simon Haddadin. Thanks in no small part to the support of experienced experts, the company has grown and continues to grow and now has around 200 employees. FRANKA EMIKA sees itself as a pioneer of robotics with a human sense of touch, perhaps one of the most important inventions of the last 140 years. Such robots are considered agile and safe, with unique dexterity comparable to the human arm. While FRANKA EMIKA's products are designed, developed and manufactured exclusively in Germany, the online platform FRANKA World connects customers, partners, developers and robots worldwide. It enables centralized management and remote control of FRANKA EMIKA robots, as well as access to a growing ecosystem of accredited software and hardware.

As part of the just-successful HANNOVER MESSE 2022, the Munich-based company has now unveiled the FRANKA PRODUCTION 3 (FP3), the first industry-certified robot arm with tactile capabilities. The FP3 is equipped with more than one hundred different sensors, including in-house developed, industry-leading torque sensors in all 7 axes. With this latest upgrade, FRANKA EMIKA further enhances the fundamental features of its robots, enabling particularly precise assembly and force-controlled applications. This is said to bring it another decisive step closer to its unique ability to imitate human dexterity in fine manipulative tasks. The FP3 also aims to impress with its intuitive usability, with straightforward set-up, smooth hand-guidance and seamless interaction. Thanks to powerful and intuitive interfaces, no programming knowledge is required: according to FRANKA EMIKA, the FP3 enables any individual to quickly become a robot expert, transforming their process knowledge into robot automation in no time at all.
