Phoenix Contact is the global market leader for components, systems and solutions in the field of electrical engineering, electronics and automation. Headquartered in Blomberg, Westphalia, the family-owned company employs more than 20,000 people worldwide and generated sales of 2.97 billion euros in 2021. The Phoenix Contact Group now includes fourteen companies in Germany, including MORYX Industry, which has been responsible for software development within the group for more than ten 10 years. But the developments of MORYX Industry do not only serve the internal relationship of the Phoenix-Contact Group, because at HANNOVER MESSE 2022 the Westphalians will demonstrate how other companies can also be supported in the digitalization of their production.
Under the motto "More Open. More Flexible. More Efficient." MORYX promises more control and overview of software systems within production. According to MORYX, previous PLC-based solutions and other digitization applications suffer from an impenetrable mishmash of software component responsibilities. MORYX counters these systems with a modular and clearly orchestrated architecture of components that each take on a clearly defined task. In this way, MORYX is intended to create almost maximum reuse and flexibility of digitization applications in the factory with a stringency that has never been achieved before.
