A clear sign of greater resource conservation and climate protection: Pöppelmann TEKU is causing a stir in the “green industry” with its recyclable seedling trays in Circular grey, which are made from more than 80 percent post-consumer recyclate (PCR). The plastic specialist from Lohne (Oldenburg) is thus avoiding the use of non-recyclable black material in the product segment of growing trays, while at the same time offering the high quality that customers have come to expect from the company in Lower Saxony. The resource-saving properties of the products are confirmed by the Blue Angel environmental label as well as the RecyClass and Cyclos certifications.

First-class quality, smooth automated processes

The new plant trays in Circular Gray are opaque and UV-resistant. They achieve these properties with a plastic that does not require black pigments – according to Pöppelmann TEKU, this is unique in the industry. The trays are designed to meet the needs of young plants by promoting ideal irrigation and drainage, thus ensuring healthy growth in shorter cultivation times. The stable shape and reinforced edge of the pallets also support smooth automation. This means that they meet the central requirements of professional horticulture and stand for efficient production processes.

Focus on a circular economy

The new young plant pallets, which already consist of at least 80 percent material obtained by recycling used products from household recycling collections, can be fully recycled again after use. In this way, Pöppelmann TEKU enables a genuine circular economy. The pallets in Circular grey carry the Blue Angel environmental label and have RecyClass certification, which confirms a recyclate content of at least 80 percent. The Cyclos certification also proves 100 percent recyclability via the German Dual System (DSD) and comparable recyclable material collections.

Resource conservation has long been standard

With the new young plant trays in Circular grey, Pöppelmann TEKU is setting standards yet again. The plastic specialist's range for professional horticulture is now mostly made from PCR and can be recycled after use. This is because a functioning circular economy is demonstrably the greatest lever for reducing greenhouse gas emissions – and thus for greater climate protection. TEKU has long since made its plant pots in the Circular360 category, with at least 80 percent PCR in the plastic used, the standard. With the new products in Circular grey, the young plant pallet range is now following suit. To standardize the range, the pallets previously available in the color Circular natural grey are also being changed to Circular grey.

Companies in the 'green industry' are making their production processes more sustainable

“More and more companies in the 'green industry' also want to make their production processes more sustainable. This is where we come in, supporting professional horticulture with modern products that achieve optimal plant growth while protecting the environment and climate,” explains Sven Hoping, division manager at Pöppelmann TEKU.
