GEORG SCHLEGEL, a company based in Dürmentingen in the Swabian region of Germany, is now presenting a genuine world first: the Flexitast is an innovative pushbutton with an integrated display that has been developed for dynamic control and display requirements. The solution combines a physical button with a 72 by 72 pixel ZBD display that allows flexible presentation of symbols and texts that can be updated in real time.
“The Flexitast combines state-of-the-art technology, intuitive operation and attractive design to support a wide range of use cases,” emphasizes SCHLEGEL product manager Torsten Singer. The centerpiece of the Flexitast is the display mentioned above, which was specially developed and exclusively produced for GEORG SCHLEGEL. According to the supplier, it offers the best image quality and retains the screen content even without a power supply. At 26.5 by 26.5 millimeters, the display is also large enough to be easily readable from a greater distance.
RGB backlighting with flexible color selection also makes it possible to adapt the Flexitast to different operating conditions or design requirements. Symbols and texts can be highlighted in color as needed – ideal for complex control systems where quick visual differentiation of conditions is important.
