The high performance laser scanners from the 3000D series are not least in contributing to the company’s success. The 3000D series technology is based on the components of the tried and tested 2D laser scanner, with the addition of a servo-driven swivel platform. A high-resolution encoder on the servo-drive measures the angle of rotation of the platform and produces a precision 3D image of the measured object by linking the 2D laser scanner data with the exact encoder information. The unit controls enable both constant swiveling of the laser head and fixing it in a specific position. Visiting the fair yourself is the best way to learn about the very broad application spectrum for such a measurement system.
