The JUMO Group, headquartered in Fulda, employs more than 2,600 people worldwide and is considered a leading provider of systems and solutions for industrial sensor and automation technology. The company, based in Hesse, has now introduced the JUMO dsensTEMP digital temperature sensor. It is designed to enable precise measurements, high tamper resistance, and maximum flexibility.
With a wide temperature range of minus 55 to plus 150 degrees Celsius and an accuracy of 0.2 degrees Celsius, the JUMO dsensTEMP provides precise feedback on process temperature. Communication takes place via a 1-Wire interface, which enables a direct digital signal without drift and remains immune to interference even with cable lengths of up to 100 meters.
ID recognition ensures unambiguous traceability in the event of damage or when replacing the sensor. The integrated digital temperature chip provides an additional security feature in the form of an encryption key.
Thanks to its robust stainless steel protective sleeve, the JUMO dsensTEMP is also suitable for applications in heating, air conditioning, and ventilation, as well as in drinking water production—and soon for hydrogen technology as well. The basic version, which is a plug-in model, already offers a high degree of flexibility, which will be expanded in the future to include a screw-in version.
“With the JUMO dsensTEMP, we offer a digital temperature sensor that not only measures with precision but also guarantees the highest level of process reliability and traceability,” explains Viola Thiessen, product manager at JUMO.
