As part of the third phase of the ENSURE project, which began in 2023, PSI focused on data-driven validation of strategic decisions. To this end, a combinatorial network simulation was linked to multi-criteria optimization via PSI’s proprietary Qualicision engine.

Another focus was on “Explainable AI”: A visualization demonstrator made complex mathematical evaluation steps—such as conflict and compatibility analysis (CC analysis)—transparent and comprehensible to users, enabling well-informed and secure approval by subject matter experts (human-in-the-loop). The data and algorithms obtained in the project form a valuable foundation for future implementation in practice.
