Indonesia is the fourth most populous country in the world, which is one of the reasons why the island nation is counted among the "Next Eleven" (N-11), i.e. the group of countries with large populations that could experience an economic boom similar to that previously experienced by the BRIC countries Brazil, Russia, India and the PR China. In this context, it is hardly surprising that Indonesia will be the Partner Country of HANNOVER MESSE for the third time this year - making it the first ASEAN country to receive this honor. The country has set itself the goal of becoming one of the world's top ten economic players by 2030. To achieve this, seven priority sectors have been chosen, which are: Food and Beverage, Textiles and Clothing, Automobiles, Electronics, Chemicals, and Medical Devices and Pharmaceuticals.

Indonesia shows its broad base

At HANNOVER MESSE 2023, Indonesia will showcase the latest investment opportunities for technology and industrial technology by organizing various activities related to Industry 4.0, business summits and conferences at the Indonesian Pavilion. The Indonesian Ministry of Industry will be supported by more than 150 co-exhibitors representing various sub-themes, including Technical Parts and Solutions, Future Hub, Sustainability and Energy Transition, Global Business and Markets, Compressed Air and Vacuum, Digital Ecosystems, Power Transmission and Automation, and Motion and Drives. In addition to industry, this prestigious event will also showcase industrial zones and special economic zones with industrial themes and the concept of developing the future national capital of Nusantara on the island of Borneo.

With a strong tailwind to a successful future

Indonesia's appearance is also supported by the Pinisi logo (an Indonesian sailing ship) and the slogan "Infinite Journey". These are intended to inspire and encourage participants to take advantage of unlimited opportunities. "Indonesia is a country with unlimited potential, starting from nature, talent and skill in Industrial Revolution 4.0. This slogan reflects the optimism and broad future potential in which Indonesia's journey to the future is unlimited," said Eko S.A. Cahyanto, Director General of Resilience, Regional and International Industrial Access of the Indonesian Ministry of Industry during the Press Preview of HANNOVER MESSE on Feb. 15, 2023.

HANNOVER MESSE as a catalyst.

Officials see the importance of Indonesia's participation as an official partner country at HANNOVER MESSE 2023 not only in promoting Indonesian branding, but also in boosting Indonesia's manufacturing capacity and digital infrastructure development, as well as expanding and building new partnerships based on Industry 4.0.
