An Ambitious Net-Zero Commitment for Credible Climate Action
Dassault Systèmes is continuing its climate strategy with new SBTi-validated targets to reduce greenhouse gas emissions by 2050. This ambitious net-zero commitment follows the company’s early achievement of its previous SBTi targets for 2027 in the areas of Scope 1 and Scope 2 emissions.

Dassault Systèmes has now announced a new net-zero emissions reduction target for 2050, validated by the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi). In this commitment, the company pledges to reduce net greenhouse gas emissions to zero across its entire value chain. This commitment builds on the successful early achievement of its first SBTi targets and represents another step toward effectively reducing its climate impact.
As part of its overarching net-zero goal, Dassault Systèmes is committed to achieving net-zero greenhouse gas emissions across its entire value chain by 2050. For its short-term goals, the company aims to reduce absolute Scope 1 and Scope 2 greenhouse gas emissions by 65 percent by 2035 compared to the base year of 2024. In addition, over the same period, Scope 3 greenhouse gas emissions are to be reduced by 66.33 percent per euro of value added, and greenhouse gas emissions from the use of sold products are to be reduced by 66.33 percent per euro of value added beyond the minimum threshold.
Dassault Systèmes’ new net-zero commitment follows the successful achievement of its first science-based emission reduction targets for its own operations and supply chain. In 2025, the company reduced its operational emissions (Scope 1 and 2) by 35 percent and its emissions from business travel and commuting (Scope 3) by 20 percent, thereby achieving its 2027 targets ahead of schedule. In addition, suppliers responsible for more than 50 percent of Dassault Systèmes’ greenhouse gas emissions from purchased goods, services, and capital assets now have their own science-based emission reduction targets.
Dassault Systèmes achieved these SBTi targets for 2027 through initiatives such as certifying energy management systems to ISO 50001 at sites covering 91.4 percent of its workforce, increasing the share of renewable electricity to 93.9 percent in 2025, and further developing sustainable procurement practices.

In addition, the company ranks among the top 2 percent in the software sector on the S&P Global CSA and has received a Gold rating from EcoVadis as well as the highest “AAA” rating from MSCI.
The Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) is considered the global benchmark for credible climate action in the private sector. Dassault Systèmes had already announced a net-zero target in 2021—even before the introduction of the SBTi Corporate Net-Zero Standard. The new short- and long-term net-zero targets, validated by the SBTi, now advance this ambition into the next phase of the company’s science-based climate roadmap, which is aligned with the SBTi Corporate Net-Zero Framework.
