1. Physics and AI continue to grow together thematically. In 2025, we will see many new approaches in the field of real-world simulation, the learning of physics through AI and solutions for physical tasks. This will affect all areas of industry - from blast furnaces to robots.

2. The LLM hype is turning into AI agent hype. Many in the industry still don't know how they can earn real money with GenAI or LLMs, which is when the next run on AI agents starts. We will also be talking about open systems, interfaces for agents, data silos and standards again. These are familiar topics in the industry.

3. UX and UI design and AI are partners. Anyone who commissions a new UX design for their machines in 2025 must also consider AI developments, explainability and visualization.

4. Do we need a GPU everywhere? Smaller models are powerful and gaining in importance - especially in industrial applications. Embedded models on the chip are the winners.

5. AI needs resources - ideas and a lot of energy. Alternative architectures present the industry with new challenges, consume less energy and should be available as open source. Talent remains scarce. Business models still challenging for many.

6. Geopolitical tensions are also preoccupying the AI world of industry. Who makes what open source available and how? Who has access to which models and from whom, and what is the industry's sourcing strategy for AI?

7. And then AGI (artificial general intelligence) arrives at the end of the year and from November we'll all be lying on the sun deck and letting it work for us.
