Rittal is the largest company in the Friedhelm Loh Group and, as such, is a global system provider for enclosures, power distribution, climate control, IT infrastructure, software and services. System solutions from Rittal can be found in over 90 percent of all industries worldwide, for example in mechanical and plant engineering, the food industry, and the IT and telecommunications sector. At HANNOVER MESSE 2019, Rittal is focusing on one the trade fair's key themes - the intelligent integration of value-added processes as the key to the digital transformation of industry. For instance, Rittal is introducing visitors to new opportunities for value creation with its demand-based system expansions, digital process chains and suitable infrastructure. One of the highlights is the unveiling of the next generation of compact and small enclosures.

"We have recognized the demands of a digitized industry and developed a new generation of compact and small enclosures. These now join the Blue e+ series and the VX25 large enclosure system, meaning all our core products have now been newly upgraded for Industry 4.0," says Uwe Scharf, Managing Director of the IT and Industry Business Units and for Marketing. The launch of the new small and compact enclosure series is set to take a standard product, that has been on the market for over 50 years, into the future. The AE from Rittal is seen as the original and the very first series enclosure. Some 35 million of them have been produced, making it by far the most popular compact enclosure system in the world. Rittal has now looked carefully at the new demands placed on products as a result of digitization and developed them into a system solution. Indeed, plant engineers can now benefit from a range of new functions that both simplify and speed up value-added processes, while also making them more flexible and reliable.
