The AI campus will be built near the Max Planck Institute for Intelligent Systems and the University of Tübingen’s AI research building. Bosch is a founding member of the Cyber Valley research partnership, which was established in 2016. Partners from industry, science and politics work together there to advance AI research in Baden-Württemberg. The partnership’s declared aim is to quickly transfer findings from basic research into concrete industrial applications.
Bosch is currently involved in negotiations with the city of Tübingen regarding the purchase of an approximately 12,000 m2 site for the campus, which will also accommodate startups and external research groups. The move into the new research complex is scheduled for the end of 2022. In addition to rooms for around 700 experts, the campus will also offer freely accessible areas on the ground floor to promote the exchange of ideas in Cyber Valley.
