Capital to get started

Far too many manufacturers worldwide still rely on paper, spreadsheets and fragmented systems to control key manufacturing processes. Azumuta, the operator-centric manufacturing software from Belgium, is among those who want to finally change that. The Ghent-based software company helps manufacturers translate practical know-how into connected, digital processes, bridging the gap between people and technology in manufacturing.
The company has now successfully raised €8 million in a Series A funding round to expand internationally and drive the development of its platform for AI-powered digital work instructions, quality control, employee training and skills tracking. The round was led by Keen Venture Partners, with participation from Capricorn Partners and returning investors PMV, Angelwise and Dirk Vermunicht. The fresh capital will be used to grow Azumuta's team, enter new markets and develop features that help manufacturers optimise their operations, improve quality and strengthen their workforce.
‘Every week, we meet manufacturers who still manage critical processes on paper or in spreadsheets,’ says Batist Leman, founder and CEO of Azumuta. ‘There is no lack of ambition, just a lack of technologies designed for real-world production environments. We founded Azumuta to fill that gap and help factories digitise in a way that actually fits how they work. This funding round will enable us to accelerate that mission and pave the way for more intuitive, human-centred manufacturing technology.’
