Climate neutral flying!
In 2014, the Apus Group was founded by 3 aviation engineers to offer various services in the field of aviation. One goal is to make aviation 100 percent emission-free and uncompromisingly climate-neutral - using green hydrogen as an energy carrier.

APUS has been researching for many years how hydrogen can be used safely and economically. The research results and experience from many customer projects or partner cooperations are incorporated in the APUS i-2 and the APUS i-5 to hybrid-electric aircraft with hydrogen fuel cells with surprisingly good performance data.
Together with partners PowerCell (hydrogen fuel cell), Fraunhofer (high voltage applications), COTESA (hydrogen storage solutions) and HEGGEMANN (hydrogen supply and safety systems), Apus is developing certified propulsion units for zero-emission aviation applications. In close cooperation with Rolls-Royce, Apus is developing a reliable certification plan for hybrid-electric powertrains. Philipp Scheffel, CEO of the Apus Group, will present the concept at HANNOVER MESSE.
