FAULHABER from Schönaich near Böblingen is one of the leading suppliers of drive systems in the field of miniature and micro drive technology. With the expansion of its product portfolio, the Swabian company is now presenting several new additions to its DC micromotors: the powerful motors of the new GXR family 1437 with copper-graphite commutation as well as the precious metal commutated motors of the proven SXR family in sizes 1424 and 1437. Developed for maximum reliability and flexibility, these drives open up new possibilities for modern, space-saving drive solutions.
Optimal for the modular FAULHABER system
With a diameter of fourteen millimetres, the new models are perfectly matched to the modular FAULHABER system - including seamless compatibility with planetary gearheads and magnetic encoders. Product Manager Dario Del Favero explains: "With the new fourteen millimeter motors, users do not have to compromise in terms of compactness, functionality and performance. In combination with the precisely fitting 14GPT gearbox and the IEP3 encoder, the result is a diameter-compliant complete solution that achieves the best efficiency and maximum dynamics." Thanks to the precise coordination of the components, developers and engineers should benefit from perfect synergies from a single source.
Robust, durable and individually configurable
According to the supplier, the GXR and SXR motors are characterized by a durable, robust design and high performance. This is due in part to the hexagonal winding, which enables maximum power density in the smallest possible space. In addition to various bearing configurations, flexible voltage variants and a wide range of electrical connection options are available. Modifications to the front and rear shafts and optimized rotor balancing represent further improvements. Like all FAULHABER products, the new DC motors are RoHS-compliant and meet the highest quality standards. The wide range of equipment options allows them to be used in a wide variety of applications - for example in high-end optical systems, telescopes and microscopes as well as for medical applications, for example in surgical robots or infusion pumps.
